Hi..My name is Karen.
 
I live in the UK and I'm a mother to three grown up children.
I've always enjoyed creative art and poetry. I used to love making paper flowers, xmas decorations,paper snowflakes and anything else I could manage to create, with my kids. We were never bored on the very frequent English rainy days. We'd create art.lol.
I've always written poems in birthday cards and on scraps of paper when I felt inspired. I find expressing myself in this way relaxing and therapeutic.
 
I went to college to study English Literature and Internet Technology a few years ago, after being a house wife and mother for 14 years.
 As my children grew up, and I became a redundant mum, I started to spend more time on my Computer and the www. I'm a self confessed computer and internet addict  :-)
I also re-found my love for poetry and began writing poems, just for fun. I became a member of a file share website and decided to publish my poems for public viewing.  I only write poems occasionally, if I suddenly feel inspired.
 
I became interested in Graphic Art after admiring animations on the www, especially the water effects. I decided to search for freeware and shareware software on the net and downloaded  a couple of programs. It took a lot of practise but I soon became addicted to creating animations and uploaded them for public viewing. I was really surprised by people's reactions and comments. This encouraged me to create more and improve my skills. I soon acquired more software so I could create different effects. I decided to create my own backgrounds too, so acquired even more software and began to experiment. Sometimes I add effects to my wallpapers too.
 
I find that expressing myself through Graphics is very similar to expressing myself through poetry. You do need to be inspired to create a good design.
I'm still only an amateur at Poetry and Graphic Art. I'm still trying to learn and improve my graphic skills. There are so many different effects that can be achieved so I'm learning and improving all the time.
